Healing and Self Love

Monday, February 15th, 2010

Deep, soul level healing comes from love. If you feel you need some kind of healing in your life, have a look first and foremost at your self love. Now ask yourself a few honest questions:

If you really loved and valued yourself, what changes would you give yourself permission to make in your life?

Do you really love who you are?

Can you love yourself with all your faults and mistakes?

Is your love for yourself and others dependent on acceptable behaviours?

Learning to love and value yourself is the key to healing your life.

The Desire for Illness

Sunday, February 15th, 2009

Let’s discuss what happens when we don’t really want to heal. Now you may say that everyone who is ill wants to be pain free, and that is true, but sickness also gets us out of stuff we don’t really want to do. Many people value the escape of sickness and so we will never really rid our society of disease, how else would we escape, in a polite way, without hurting other people’s feelings. Think about it, and ask yourself how many times you have used illness to get out of something. Eithor you faked an illness or actually manifested one so that you could excuse yourself with no harm done.

Watch for your secret hidden wishes to be ill and see what benefit the illness brings to your life. We can never really be rid of illness as long as it gets us something we subconsciously desire.

A Course in Miracles and Christian Language

Wednesday, June 11th, 2008

The Course in Miracles can look daunting. In fact there is debate amongst the Course fans that it should be changed to eliminate all the Christian references. Some say that it just trips people up. They want it to be a universal curriculum and skip the Christian references.

I myself come from a strong Christian background and it is a challenge to read the material with clear eyes and not always put the statements into the perspective I was raised with.

In fact it is the process of constantly pushing the material through our conditioned filters that helps us break them down.

It is only our filters that get ruffled by the terminology not our spirit. If you continue to read and push through the language of the course and your own personal resistance, you will discover an amazing result. In order to push through you are also tearing down. You are subconsciously unwinding your conditioning. Before you know it things are changing for you. And in you.

It almost seems miraculous. Just reading it constantly is like a call to the soul. The soul hears even when the conscious and subconscious mind fights it. But the soul hears and responds.

It is like a medicine that you take in and it just starts working behind the scene. I can not adequately explain the wonderful life changing effect this book can have – even if your mind fights it – keep going.

It is written in seeming old English and often the sentences don’t seem to make sense. But the truth is the logic brain can’t get a hold on the information, but the soul can. So you feed the soul its own truth while the logic brain flounders around trying to get you to stop this insane reading material.

But push on dear friends; you will awaken something deep within you that will transform your life, quietly and consistently. Just keep going, don’t listen to your logic brain and ego based thoughts they are meant to keep you lost.

Amused by Life’s Drama

Saturday, July 8th, 2006

Who are we … really?

There seems to be so many roles to play, and so many people demanding our attention. And yet, how can this matter if everything is an illusion?

Have we created all this busyness just to satisfy our own need to be important? And if we did not need to feel special and important then perhaps all our busyness would disappear.

We are all trapped within the walls of our own insecurity. And yet – We are all rather amusing aren’t we? We find each other’s dramas fascinating. We love to tell others of the gossip we heard about someone else’s life.

I wonder what happens when we stop finding other people’s lives amusing. What would happen if we put all our attention into our own moods, behaviors and decisions? Perhaps we would have more energy for the things we really want. If we were not so amused with the everyday dramas playing out, maybe we could see beyond them into our greatness…I always wonder why, we as humans settle for such mundane lives when we are capable of so much more?

I guess it is because we just don’t know what else there is. So few people see into the metaphysics of life to find the inspiration to shift to a different level of living…

So we amuse ourselves with the everyday dramas.
